Intro

  • fortuitous to be in Seattle at this time, with so much going on with the formation of Justice for Amimals Outreach and everything going on surrounding that
  • I started including Seattle on my activism stops in 2017, tabling and leafleting with NARN and Rachel
  • Since I’ve been welcomed and feel intergrated with the AR community here.
  • I started Justiceforanimals.org in 2016
  • Isaac has copyedited virtually everything on the site, so 'chime in
  • This month, after months of prep, I converted the site to a wiki to make if more collaborative, more encycopedic, and easier to edit.
  • I'm in the process of getting incorporated, getting a non-profit status, and recruiting writers.

Motivations for Starting

  • Tons of sites, many excellent
  • Still found it difficult to get well-sourced information..
  • ...organized in a manner useful for advocacy, but some place i could see beginners and the curious
    • all called on to be advocates where where are reaching out or others are reaching out to us
  • i wanted a site that could meet other goals, which I'll go over

First, a very brief tour of the site

  • After that, I'll go over some of the goals and show you how they are realized on the site.
  • go over all listing
    • Beginner - I'll be changing this to work better with the card
    • In reply to:
    • Tables: can be included—slaughter counts
    • Notes: not enough to be an article
    • Archive: to save (Regan's speech
